Susan Henkel
	Teacher 7th and 8th Grade Social Studies
Welcome to ALL! I graduated from the University of Wisconsin - Stevens Point, in 1982, with a Bachelors of Science degree in Communications, Advertising and Marketing. After that, I spent almost 20 years in the insurance industry, in sales and marketing. In 2003 I returned to college, and attended Cardinal Stritch University, where I earned a Masters of Arts degree in Education. I specialized in teaching Social Studies because of my experiences with international high school exchange students. This year, I hope to arrange an end of year trip to Washington D.C. and New York City for our 8th graders, as well as continue the wonderful work we started with our Pennies for Peace Campaign, raising money to fund schools in Pakistan and Afghanistan. When I'm not working with students, you can find me on the beach in Fairport, Michigan, watching the water float by!
